    Vintage Leedy/Ludwig 11”x16” Mahogany Floor Tom Unique Finish!
    The man who sold me this drum told me it was a Leedy, even though two of the lugs are Ludwig and the other unnamed. I thought it might be a parade snare converted to a floor Tom. There are slots for a snare wire in one of the hoops. The other hoop broke and was glued back together, see the photo. There is rust and pits on the rods, and lugs. I bought this mainly for the finish, one I have never seen before and it stumped the folks on the vintage drum forum as well. It is a 3 ply mahogany shell and has a nice deep, warm sound. As far as I can tell the shell is in round and the bearing edges are fine.
