  • Condition: The steins are in over all good condition with no cracks, or repairs. However the stein on the left has crazing inside and out due to age. Sold as is.

    Description

    The pug steins depicted in this auction were made by Dorfner & Co. from Germany. The steins are pottery, transfer and the size is 1/2 L.  The name of the pieces are Munich Child.   The steins have no form numbers.  However the stein with no finial has D&C on the base, the other steins base is blank.
    Also, The D&C stein has script on the pewter lid.  One of the steins has a very nice pewter lid with finial & pewter thumb, however I am not sure if this is a D&C stein. The other stein has a pewter lid also with a ball pewter thumb.  The D&C company was founded in 1826.
