    Antique 1900 Mettlach Jasperware Phanolin Master Stein 2686 “Bicyclers” Bicycles.
    Gorgeous 1900 Mettlach stein with Jasperware and Phanolith relief renderings depicting 5 bicyclists (4 men and 1 women) congregating. You’ll see the smaller steins to this only occasionally but I can only find one other example of this stein that has sold. A beautiful and unique piece of history. This is the Master stein to Catalog No. 2627. Marked on bottom with Mettlach trademark, catalog number “2686”, along with date code for 1900. Signed by the artist, J. Stahl, beneath the wheel that is directly below the handle. Measures a hair over 17in tall x 5.75in diameter at base. Condition: Excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, hairlines, or fleabites (did I miss anything? Feel free to ask). Will be double boxed with a finished box size of 25x13x13.
